The thought of making what was once just a passion, into a job that affords me the connections, friendships, and adventures that it has the last five years still doesn’t feel real to me. Maybe that’s because I don’t always feel like it’s a “job” to show up and create with people who I am genuinely excited to know, observe and make art for. Taking pretty pictures has never really been the main thing though, it’s always been about the connections and that’s more a part of me that I could ever put into words!
On my day off, you can find me spending time with the l.o.m.l, Amon. Finding home in a person is one of my greatest adventures and it’s one that has expanded my heart and inspired me in countless ways over the years.
Our dream is to finally travel together next year and dive into new cultures and places, and I think his dream for me is to stop rearranging our house (not gonna happen)! Most days though, our travel looks more like riding our e-bike rides around town, grabbing drinks by the beach, and snuggling up with our sassy German Shepherd Bella to binge our favorite shows.
Born and raised in Southern California, I developed a deep connection with nature and the outdoors. It was those cross-country road trips with my family during my childhood that sparked my love for exploration and ignited a passion for capturing the world's beauty through the lens of a camera.
Photographs have always been more than just images to me; they're portals that transport us to moments frozen in time. This connection grew even more profound when I faced the loss of my brother, and those images of our shared memories became my connection to his legacy.
I didn’t know photography was my calling until I was out of college. In my post college-funk, I realized that I’ve always held space for the emotions of others. Photography allows me to capture those emotions in a way that no other medium can. While the great outdoors has always been at the heart of my work, I fell in love with documenting the genuine, emotional, and unkept aspects of human experiences, whether they're grand or intimately personal.

I’m Aaren
I strive to help you feel comfortable and calm the whole time, and I can promise some pretty bad jokes and goofy moments peppered in, because that’s me! I know how awkward it is to have someone taking your photos, so don’t worry, I’ve got you.
My approach to capturing love is very open to your unique personalities. I aim to encourage movement through light hearted prompts and guiding you in artful ways that let you express yourselves as you please.
I will give you a piece of myself in the process.
I work hand in hand with my couples to create a friend driven and collaborative relationship when getting to know you and hearing your vision for the shoot or your wedding. Anyone can just show up on the day and take pretty photos with a camera. What lights me up is providing space for humans to be vulnerable, share their love, and just slow down and be themselves.
